JD Ireland was founded in 2002 by high school friends Joe Ireland and Julie Weber. Joe is the studio’s creative director while Julie carefully manages client and vendor relationships ensuring a smooth customer experience. Both Julie and Joe started working for internationally recognized firms before they decided to join forces and launch their own design studio. They were in their 20s at the time and, much like the tech disruptors of today, they were intent on breaking away from business as usual and offering a more dynamic, down-to-earth approach.

The values they defined back then—creativity, transparency, and to encourage collaboration—were a shock to the system. Together, Julie and Joe also redefined what it means to be a designer. Instead of a one-note, rarefied sensibility, they offer premium design with an abundance of creativity and without ego.
